Initially proposed as a center for typical big box retail buildings, TCA, in its capacity as planning consultant to West Whiteland Township, advocated redesigning the site into a dynamic, mixed-use center that utilized land more efficiently and created a unique place where Township residents and visitors could live, walk, shop, play and work. With its successful commercial center, adaptive reuse of historic structures, open space, and a planned residential component, Main Street at Exton is emerging as the new downtown for the Township.
